Heather handed her lighter to the other girl, looking up at her warily. “Yeah, I’m from Ohio.” she explained. Her family had fled town after the last of the Westerburg Suicides, coming all the way to Twin Peaks. “My name’s Heather.”

^{lighter sparks ’ neath hands that shield from the wind ,    “     Gee !     “    a bit of disbelief in her tone ,      “    ‒‒‒‒  all the way from there ??     ”    why on earth would anyone VOLUNTARILY move to twin peaks ?? collarbones then hollow as she inhales . and she MOSTLY just wanted a light , didn ‘ t actually care much for the questions but she decides to entertain , for now at least ‒‒‒‒ School really numbs her buns anyways .       “     ‘ names audrey , audrey horne .     “}

_{he  somehow  expected  her  to  have  a  ginormous  bed  .  it  seems  like  something  she  would  have  simply  because  she  could  .  yet  it  isn’t  the  size  of  the  bed  that  bothers  him  ,  really  nothing  bothers  at  the  moment  and  that  is  a  good  thing  .  zach  is  just  glad  to  be  there  and  to  have  some  kind  of  company  .}  

❝    _{okay  have  you  been  living  under  a  ROCK  your  entire  life  ??}    ❞    _{the  male  looks  at  her  in  disbelief  as  he  sets  himself  down  and  onto  the  bed  pressing  the  play  button  .  in  fact  he  really  pays  no  attention  to  how  close  or  not  that  are  to  one  another  .  looking  at  her  zach  soon  moves  closer  to  where  there  is  minimal  room  left  between  them  and  settles  against  the  headboard  .}    ❝    _{this  really  is  a  great  movie  .  i  love  it  .}     ❞

^{cue small smile before elbow is at his sides with laughter when he looks at her so .} 

 ^{❝   no ! i just …. y’ know , watch , like , other stuff.   ❞    didn't really feel like explaining it ; a twang of warmth and comfort was lulling the girl ‘sleep . title sequence    /    girl then focuses back to tv screen as the movie starts . body slips down to prop up against pillow , head below his shoulders , a yawn . —— more popcorn .  she was rather involved in the movie already when he spoke again ,    ❝     mhmmm .     ❞  girl then instinctively curls up against him , didn ‘ t even think about personal space , thinking ‘ bout  sleep and movies and popcorn and did i turn off the kitchen light ??}

_{his  feet  echo  across  the  kitchen  floor  as  the  teenager  scurries  to  follow  behind  her  towards  the  staircase  .  dark  irises  flicker  from  one  direction  to  the  other  taking  in  the  decor  of  the  home  and  it  is  DEFINITELY  a  lot  nicer  than  his  own  home  .  giving  her  a  soft  smirk  as  they  walk  into  the  bedroom  he  simply  thinks  about  how  they  are  going  to  watch  a  movie  and  nothing  else  ,  she  might  even  fall  asleep  .}  

❝    _{have  you  ever  seen  the  nightmare  on  elm  street  ??  i  mean  it’s  a  classic  i  feel  like  everyone  has  seen  it  .}    ❞    _{placing  the  bag  down  and  retrieving  the  dvd  the  male  strides  over  to  put  the  movie  in  and  can’t  help  but  laugh  at  her  response  .}    ❝    _{pretty  much  everything  is  small  for  me  so  it’s  cool  don’t  worry  about  it  .}    ❞    _{grabbing  the  small  remote  he  makes  way  to  the  bed  and  sits  down  beside  her  working  to  make  himself  comfortable  .}

^{naturally limbs lean into the warmth beside her . good intentions ; but girl is impulsive .   thick comforter    stuffed of goose down covers bare thighs ,. and  room is dimly lit from hanging lights . sapphires still glow-in-the-dark  however  , no matter how focused on tv screen they may be . hands dip into popcorn before settling the bowl between rosy thighs.      the girl doesn ‘ t think about the appearance of her home. ‘ knows it ‘ s  big, ‘pose it wasn ‘ t ?? what , would that change anything ??}

_{just  act  casual  .  that’s  all  that  he  keeps  telling  himself  but  it’s  hard  for  him  to  act  casual  when  the  male  is  just  a  huge  bundle  of  nerves  .  he  wants  to  IMPRESS  her  and  maybe  trying  to  hard  is  the  opposite  of  what  he  is  doing  .  a  hand  runs  through  dark  hair  ,  pushing  it  back  only  for  it  to  fall  back  into  its  place  and  his  oh  so  charming  smile  spreads  across  his  features  .}   

❝    _{no  ,  depends  on  if  you  get  SICK  easily  though  .  if  you  think  you’re  going  to  be  sick  then  maybe  we  should  go  for  a  less  gory  option  .}    ❞      _{putting  the  backpack  on  his  shoulders  the  male  things  for  a  moment  before  responding  .}    ❝    _{just  water  please  .}    ❞  

^{hands grabs two water bottles    ( and the popcorn bowl )    , as a laugh flows from lips . a foot kicks the fridge door closed ,and a dip of the head motions towards the stairs . ——  ’  thought he was acting a bit weird , did i do something wrong ?? ’  maybe put on bottoms ??  voice isn ‘ t ill-mannered in the SLIGHTEST ( just  how soft does he think i am ?? ) not that she wasn ‘ t nervous herself …  but audrey just HAS to let him know .}  

   ^{❝    i was just kidding , i won ‘ t get sick , promise !  no , really , i want to watch it .    ❞     as she pushed the door open with her back , audrey gave the tall boy a reassuring smile , like ,  do you believe me ??  and plopped down on the thick comfort of her bed   ❝   sorry ,  it ‘ s kinda small . but over there ‘ s the TV if you ‘ wanna put it in. ❞}

         _{there  were  ENDLESS  options  for  them  to  watch  and  he  would  leave  it  up  to  her  as  he  simply  stands  there  and  waits  for  her  to  choose  .  either  way  they  weren’t  going  to  be  watching  a  chick  flick  and  that  is  ALL  that  he  cares  about  .  singling  out  the  single  films  she  picked  out  the  male  starts  to  ramble  on  about  the  two  .  he  most  certainly  sounds  like  a  geek  while  doing  so  .} 

      ❝    _{yeah  they  are  both  pretty  bloody  .  both  classics  but  there  is  the  one scene  in  nightmare  on  elm  street  that  is  ICONIC  .  i  love  this  movie  and  it  .  but  you  can  look  at  all  the  movies  and  choose  one  .}    ❞

^{long lashes look up at the boy , bright mouth showing him that she ‘ s somewhat AMUSED at his efforts to please her . how cute . and she notices that zach ‘ s  got this .. charm about him too . like , innocence . like , good intentions .  and she thinks , ‘ i ‘ m in good hands . ‘ and also that he ‘ s attractive , or SOMETHING , but they ‘ re just friends . right ??     (   right !   )     so audrey ‘ s cheeks make like roses as she gives him a shrug of her shoulders .}  

     ^{❝     yeah ?? i ’ ll take you for your word then , zach dempsey .     ❞   she says through grinning lips .  tone is almost flirtatious as she walks to the fridge     ( it ‘ s a bad habit the girl has . )     ❝    ‘not gonna’ be sick , am i ??     ❞     well , of course your won ‘ t  .  honey-toned head pops inside the fridge for a moment just before ,   ❝ ——   coke , water or lemonade ??    ❞}
